Whistler - Blackcomb, 125km north of Vancouver in Canada, is the biggest ski resort in North America, attracting over two million visitors every year. The resort is named after the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, which were originally separate resorts until they merged in 1997. Whistler Blackcomb was one of the main venues for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, hosting all the alpine skiing events including the downhill, slalom, and Super-G competitions.
