Resort Overview for Arosa:

Ski resort overview for ArosaThis pretty, elegant, uncrowded town sits in the sunny bowl of Schanfigg. With quite stunning surroundings this high Swiss resort offers some fantastic skiing and a wide range of Apres ski activities, such as tennis, ice-skating and swimming.

The town itself is split into two areas: Ausserarosa and Innerarosa. Ausserarosa is the main resort and is located around the train station and the Obersee lakelet. Innerarosa is the older village at the upper end of the valley.

The resort is approximately 170km from Zurich airport and will take about 1 hours and 30 minutes to drive. Alternatively, it's also accessible by train passing through some picture-perfect towns & stunning backdrops.

On the whole Switzerland is considered one of the more expensive countries to ski, but Arosa is by no means pricey, and is certainly a lot more affordable than its neighbours such as the more up-market St Mortiz.

The Skiing in Arosa:

Ski resort review for ArosaArosa is linked to two ski areas with approximately 70km of pistes. Runs are weighted towards the more beginner and intermediate skiers, but does offer the odd challenging black for the more advanced.

A great choice for families and all-round skiers. The runs aren't crowded and the backdrop is beautiful.

Even for the non-skiers there's plenty to enjoy!

Après Ski in Arosa:

Arosa offers a healthy selection of bars, clubs and restaurants to keep you entertained after you finish on the slopes. For a nice relaxing drink when you take off your skis, you may want to head to Bellini's Cafe or the Sitting Bull.

The lively clubs and bars tend to be centred around the hotels, such as the Kitchen Club and Nuts in Hotel Eden, or Vista in Casino Arosa.

There's also a great choice of sophisticated restaurants, like the Italian Stueva-Cuolm or Sushi restaurant Eden Bar.
