Ski resort overview for LeysinAt an altitude of 1263 meters, the sleepy ski resort of Leysin sits at the Eastern edge of Lake Geneva in the district of Aigle. Leysin is a small, peaceful town once famous for its treatment centres for tuberculosis and is now a popular ski resort.

Leysin is earning a reputation as the college-centre for Switzerland as it has five international schools.

Leysin is not a large resort and would be ideal for families or groups not looking for wild nightlife.

In terms of accommodation, there are a handful of well-priced guest houses, hotels and private ski chalets in Leysin.

Leysin is located only a 2 hour drive from Geneva airport in Switzerland. The nearest main railway station is to Leysin is located at Aigle, where you can then get a cog-wheel train directly into the resort.
