Resort Overview for Whistler - Blackcomb: In the coastal mountains of British Columbia, just over 100km North of Vancouver, this ski resort sits in between two spectacular mountains; Blackcomb and Whistler. Together, these two mountains offer the largest ski area in North America with over 8000 acres of skiable terrain.

Winters here offer some of the world's best skiing and dozens of other activities including, dog sledding, ice skating, ice-climbing, sleigh rides, snow mobiling, zip-lining, snow shoeing and many, many more. Summers aren't quiet either with fishing, golf, mountain biking, wake boarding, rafting, horseback, riding canoeing and hiking.
The resort prides itself on its hospitality, cleanliness and friendly staff, and the hotels here are most accommodating.
There is very little need for a car when you're in Whistler as the buses run like clock-work and arrive literally every few minutes. Transfers from Vancouver airport are not particularly expensive and you can be in the resort in less than 2 hours.
